Today’s Recipe:Sparkling Ginger Soda Water

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups chilled filtered or spring water
  • 2-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and grated (about 2 tablespoons grated ginger)
  • 2-3 tablespoons of honey, or to taste
  • Ice cubes

Instructions:

  • In a 1-quart pitcher, combine the chilled water, grated ginger, and honey. Stir until the honey has fully dissolved.
  • Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes to allow the ginger flavor to infuse the water.
  • Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the ginger-infused soda water into a clean pitcher, pressing on the solids to extract as much liquid as possible.
  • Discard the grated ginger pulp.
  • Fill glasses with ice cubes.
  • Slowly pour the strained ginger soda water over the ice.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with a slice of fresh ginger, if desired.
